A sustainable, designer fashion label that incorporates functionality and comfort into every design. You look your best when you feel your best, and that’s what we stand for. Utilizing artisanal craft, luxury fabrics, and innovative design, we strive to make clothing worth wearing – clothing that speaks to the uniqueness and individuality of the wearer.
Although founded within the enigmatic fashion scene of Sydney, Australia, the label continues to draw inspiration from its Swedish roots. The intricacies and diversity of nature, as well as the organic form, are prevalent in each garment.

Philosophy
Fashion serves as a powerful means of self-expression. While every wardrobe has place for a plain white t-shirt, Kargede specializes in crafting essential garments that not only embrace individuality but also elevate it. By reimagining traditional garment construction and employing innovative textile techniques, Kargede seamlessly blends high-end fashion with ready-to-wear sensibilities.

Sustainability & Ethics
Ethical labor and sustainable practices are a staple of the Kargede ethos. In much the same way that we care for our customers, we also care for the world in which they live.
Consideration for ethics and sustainability is a core feature throughout the design process.
- 100% natural fibers and dyes feature throughout the Kargede range.
- Where Synthetic fabrics are used, they are of a recycled origin.
- All scrap materials are repurposed through our ‘zero waste’ design initiative.
- Our packaging is recyclable and, where possible compostable.
- Suppliers are screened for ethical and sustainable practices – OEKO-Tex certified and the like.
- We do not wastefully manufacture in bulk or support facilities that do.

Julia Kargede
A Swedish-born fashion designer, Miss Kargede brings her unique vision to the dynamic and cultured fashion landscape of Australia’s east coast. With a wealth of formal design education, Kargede’s garments routinely deliver tasteful and meticulous composition. Yet, as an explorative designer at heart, Kargede plays loosely with tradition and structure – a mercurial relationship with the new, the old, and the undiscovered. Kargede’s garments speak to the cultivated sensibilities of a spirited muse.
Rooted in her love for Sweden’s picturesque forests, nature serves as a driving inspiration behind Kargede’s designs. Drawing from the rich visual tapestry of the natural world, she imbues her creations with a deep understanding of colour, texture, and form. Through a dedication to artisanal techniques, Kargede seeks to capture the essence of human emotion, offering wearers a truly personal connection to her work.
