Diversity & Inclusion
–
Our Commitment. Our Truth.
Why is Diversity important, why do we view it as Sustainability and what are we doing to help?
Diversity & Sustainability, One-and-the-same?
Diversity sits under sustainability here. A liveable future needs everyone at the table. This is not a slogan. It is the human engine of real action. When people are safe, seen and resourced, ideas multiply, solutions improve and communities get resilient. Exclusion shrinks the pool of problem-solvers and slows change. Inclusion expands it. Help people, help planet.
There’s also another side to the story. Fashion operates inside an economy where opportunity and wealth are concentrated. When communities are shut out of fair pay, representation and good work, the cheapest and fastest options, like ultra fast fashion, win. Real diversity shifts access and power. It shares opportunity, wages and decision-making so more people can buy once and buy well, support ethical makers and refuse waste.
How we Include
Fit without gender
We tailor garments for men, women and non-binary customers. Typical adjustments include shoulder breadth, chest shaping, waist–hip balance, rise, and hem/strap length. Help us to understand your anatomy and tell us how you want it to sit; we pattern for that outcome. Returns rights remain intact.
Sizes for people, not mannequins
Standard range XXS–3XL (AU 6–20). Outside that? Email us – most styles can be made or tailored beyond or below the listed range.
Representation on camera
We cast across a range of backgrounds in our product and lifestyle imagery.
Historically we have worked on an availability basis – first come first served. That’s the reality of a small atelier with limited choice.
As we grow, we’ll be presented with more power of choice. We’ll support this with diversity forward policies that guide choice and therefore guide greater diversity representation.
Community & Country
We work on unceded land and act on that respect: through i=Change we support Empower with Literacy for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Zero-Tolerance
We do not work with partners or talent who discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability or body size. If something falls short, tell us – [email protected] – and we’ll respond within 12 hours.
Adaptive Requests
We can modify closures, adjust sleeve/hem lengths, soften internal seams or remove scratchy labels for sensory comfort – case by case, without compromising structure.
Respectful Service
You speak with makers, not a call centre. We note and use your name and pronouns, offer private fittings by appointment, and can guide remote measurements with photos/videos if you’re not local.
Two-body fit imagery (in-progress)
Across 2026, we’re rolling out product pages that show each style on both a smaller and a larger body to make size choice clearer.
General FAQ
Do you tailor dresses for male anatomy?
Yes. We fit garments to bodies, not genders. Common edits include broader shoulders, chest shaping, torso length and hem balance while keeping the design you want.
What if I’m outside AU 6–20?
Email us with measurements. Many styles can be made or tailored beyond the standard range.
Can you help if I have accessibility or sensory needs?
Often, yes. We can adjust closures, add stability, change strap/hem lengths or remove irritating labels where the design allows
How do I request adjustments?
Read all about it here – Complimentary Tailoring. When you receive your follow up email, after placing an order, simply communicate with us – you wont be talking with a call centre, you will be talking directly to our in-house team.
Private studio fittings are available in Sydney by appointment.
